The Louisiana State Mineral and Energy Board collected close to $585,000 for the May sale of mineral rights on state and local government land on Wednesday, a 69 percent drop from the month prior. Almost one-third of the bonuses collected during the May sale were tied to a single, 364-acre tract crossing both Iberville and St. Martin parishes.
